Heroes Landing Comic Book Shop

Heroes Landing is a one of a kind comic book store for the whole family located in Clermont, at 12348 Roper Blvd. in the Kohls shopping center, or on-line where you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace through their website at www.heroeslanding.com.

Going beyond comics, Heroes Landing is more of a comic book/pop culture store. They have all the latest comics, graphic novels, games, statues, and apparel. What sets them apart is a strong desire to satisfy every member of the family not often found in your typical comic book store. Additionally, they are the exclusive carrier of Uglydolls in the area. It very well might be the only comic book store with a lounge area complete with a full sized couch and chair! The owners, Stuart Cohen and Todd Merrick, have been best friends since meeting at college 20 years ago. They want their customers to feel comfortable and welcome every time they walk through the doors.

These heroes offer free subscription services so that when your favorite titles arrive each week they will pull it off the shelves and keep it for you until you arrive to pick them up, thus ensuring you never miss out. They are members of the South Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Support the Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, but what they are most proud of is offering 10% off to Military members every day. They will ship any books to any service member anywhere in the world free of charge. Currently, several comic titles are on sale at 20% off and will be sent to the troops in time for the holidays.

The days when the so-called geeks had to be ashamed of buying comics are long gone. With the help of outstanding story lines, soaring sales, and one blockbuster movie after another comics are at their highest level of popularity ever. There are roughly 15 comic books being made into movies in the next 4 years alone! Hollywood would not be making them and the biggest stars on the planet would not be vying to star in them if it was a passing phase.
With the rest of society finally catching up to what us Fanboys have known all along, it is the perfect mix for a successful business. So stop in, grab a book, have a seat on the couch and tell us what you think. Youre never too old to feel like a kid again!

Several events are planned in the coming weeks including live podcast broadcasting, Pokemon tournaments, in-store gaming, geek singles night, and much more. For more details, stop in, visit them online, or call them at 352-242-XMEN (9636).
